Mary Collet Ferrar (1601?–1680)

This Gospel Harmony was created as a form of devotional activity which consisted of cutting, arranging, pasting and binding biblical texts and illustrations to create ‘harmonies’ of the four gospels which could be read as single narratives. This unusual religious ‘scrapbook’ was made at a pious Christian community in Little Gidding, Cambridgeshire, by members of the extended Ferrar family, including Mary Collet Ferrar whose name appears at the end of this volume.
